The Town of Dovre Town Board voted unanimously on a Roll Call Vote at the December 9, 2014 Town Board Meeting for the “Implements of Husbandry Total Opt Out Ordinance – Act 377 – Option F”. The Town of Dovre falls under the default State Rules.. Meaning, the Town did not adopt a local ordinance and is abiding by the Act (Act 377). The Act provides for the 23K/axle limitation and a 92K GVW limit. Category “B” IOHs (Harvesters, Tillage, etc.) are exempt from axle limit (23K), but are subject to 92K weight limit.
Operators can apply for a No Fee Permit. The applications may be either approved, approved with conditions or denied. If denied, the Town must provide a “reasonable and structurally sound” explanation for being denied. If denied, the action can be appealed.
